The second part of the series tells what happened several years after the events of the original game. The reborn Diablo in the guise of the Dark Wanderer walked through the lands of Sanctuary, wreaking havoc and destruction. Players, choosing one of seven different character classes, go in pursuit of the demon to stop him and his brothers Mephisto and Bhaal. During their adventures, players will visit a variety of locations, including high mountain plains, deserts and abandoned ancient citadels.
