Need for Speed Most Wanted is an open-world racing game where you compete across the city of Fairhaven while building your reputation and taking on some of the fastest drivers on the road. Choose from a wide selection of licensed cars, explore freely, discover shortcuts and hidden routes, and enter races, speed runs, ambush events, and other challenges without being locked into a traditional progression path. Police can pursue you at any time, forcing you to use speed, jumps, terrain, and your car’s strengths to escape increasingly aggressive chases.

Driving focuses on high-speed arcade handling, drifting, crashes, nitrous, and aggressive competition against both rivals and the police. Cars can be switched throughout the open world and upgraded with performance modifications that help them handle different events and situations. The game also uses Autolog to track scores, speeds, and times, allowing you to compare your performance with friends, while online play adds competitive playlists and events across Fairhaven.
