Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure set across the vast continent of Pywel, where rival factions and powerful forces are fighting for control. You play as Kliff, a member of the Greymanes who survives a devastating ambush and sets out to find his scattered comrades and rebuild the faction. His journey takes him across green plains, forests, deserts, mountains, cities, ancient ruins, and the mysterious Abyss, where a growing threat could upset the balance of the entire continent.
Combat is built around fast, close-quarters action with swords, spears, greatswords, axes, dual weapons, ranged weapons, grapples, counters, dodges, and powerful skills that can be chained together. Outside of combat, you can explore freely, climb and glide across the environment, ride horses and even dragons and mechs, gather resources, hunt, fish, cook, upgrade the Greymane camp, and take part in various activities around Pywel. Two additional playable characters, Oongka and Damiane, also join Kliff’s journey and bring their own combat styles, weapons, and abilities. Crimson Desert combines open-world exploration, cinematic battles, character progression, and a large variety of activities into a single-player fantasy adventure.
