Windrose is a survival adventure set during an alternate Age of Piracy, where you take on the role of a captain who dares to challenge Blackbeard. What begins as a story of survival and revenge gradually develops into a larger conflict involving empires, pirate clans, and mysterious supernatural forces. You’ll explore procedurally generated islands, discover hidden locations and handcrafted dungeons, gather resources, and establish settlements as you uncover the secrets scattered across the open world.
Life as a pirate involves both adventure on land and battles at sea. You can customize and sail different ships, engage enemies with cannons, board opposing vessels, and seamlessly continue the fight after reaching the shore. On land, you can build everything from simple shelters to large forts, recruit NPC workers, craft and upgrade equipment, and develop your character through talents, weapons, armor, food, and potions. Windrose can be played solo or cooperatively with up to eight players, combining survival crafting, open-world exploration, naval combat, building, and action RPG progression in a pirate adventure that is currently in Early Access.
