Timberborn is a city-building and colony management game set in a world where humanity has disappeared and evolved beavers have inherited a devastated Earth. You can choose between the nature-focused Folktails and the industrial Iron Teeth, then build a settlement capable of surviving recurring droughts and waves of toxic waste. Your beavers need food, water, housing, and a functioning economy, while the surrounding landscape can be reshaped to create a more sustainable home.
Water management is at the heart of the game, allowing you to build dams, floodgates, canals, aqueducts, and irrigation systems while using terraforming to control the environment. As your colony develops, you can construct increasingly complex vertical cities, generate power, automate production, recover metal from the ruins of the old world, and eventually introduce mechanical beavers to handle demanding work. Timberborn also includes a map editor and official mod support, giving you plenty of freedom to create and customize your own beaver civilization.
