Fatal Claw is a 2D Metroidvania set in a mysterious underground kingdom where ancient civilization and modern technology exist side by side. You play as Kisha, a mysterious cat resurrected by her ancestors, who explores the ruins in search of a way to the surface while helping other survivors and uncovering the truth behind the kingdom’s destruction. The interconnected world is filled with dangerous infected creatures, hidden passages, environmental hazards, and secrets that gradually reveal more about the events surrounding Kisha and the strange underground realm.
Combat focuses on fast movement and close-range attacks, with Kisha able to rush, jump, claw, and use mutated abilities gained from the infected she defeats. You can also absorb Engraved Skills, customize abilities with Cabitz magical stones, and develop different combat strategies as you explore new areas and face increasingly dangerous enemies. The nonlinear map encourages exploration and backtracking, while survivors can provide assistance as you progress toward completing the ultimate weapon, Fatal Claw. Fatal Claw combines Metroidvania exploration, challenging combat, ability progression, hand-drawn 2D artwork, and multiple possible endings into a single-player adventure.
