Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game set in a reborn universe created by Fire God Liu Kang, where familiar characters return with altered histories, relationships, and roles. Choose from a roster of fighters and battle through fast-paced matches built around combos, special moves, Fatal Blows, Breakers, and the series’ signature Fatalities. The story mode follows a new cinematic narrative across Liu Kang’s reimagined timeline, while additional single-player and multiplayer modes provide different ways to fight and progress.
The Kameo Fighter system lets you select a separate partner character who can assist during matches with special attacks, throws, and defensive abilities, creating more options for extending combos or escaping pressure. Invasions adds a single-player progression mode where you move across interactive maps, complete battles and challenges, experiment with character builds, and earn rewards. Mortal Kombat 1 combines traditional one-on-one fighting with its new assist system, expanded progression mechanics, and a redesigned version of the Mortal Kombat universe.
