Persona 3 Reload is a single-player RPG where you play as a transfer student who discovers the Dark Hour, a hidden period that appears between one day and the next. After awakening the power of Persona, you join the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad and explore Tartarus, a massive tower filled with Shadows. Battles use turn-based combat where exploiting enemy weaknesses, switching Personas, coordinating party members, and managing resources are important as you climb deeper into the tower and uncover the mystery behind the Dark Hour.
Outside Tartarus, you can spend each day attending school, exploring Port Island, working part-time jobs, improving personal attributes, and building relationships through Social Links. These bonds can strengthen the Personas you create through fusion, while new scenes, expanded character interactions, additional voice acting, and modernized quality-of-life features build on the original Persona 3 experience. Persona 3 Reload combines dungeon exploration, turn-based combat, daily-life activities, and a story centered on friendship, mortality, and the choices you make with the time available to you.
