Grim Dawn is an action RPG set in a dark, post-apocalyptic fantasy world where humanity is close to extinction. You play as a survivor making your way through a war-torn land filled with monsters, hostile factions, and the remains of fallen civilizations. Along the way, you’ll explore ruined towns, abandoned buildings, hidden areas, and dangerous dungeons while collecting equipment, crafting items, and deciding which people and factions are worth helping. Your choices can have lasting effects on the world and the people living in it.

Character building is a major part of the game. You can combine two of six classes, including Soldier, Demolitionist, Occultist, Nightblade, Arcanist, and Shaman, then customize your abilities through skills, equipment, and the Devotion system. There are hundreds of items to collect, thousands of possible gear combinations, and plenty of secret areas, bosses, and challenge dungeons to discover. You can also rebuild settlements, rescue survivors, develop relationships with factions, and play the campaign with up to three other players. Grim Dawn gives you a lot of freedom in how you build your character and approach its dangerous world, whether you’re playing alone or with friends.
