DOOM Eternal is a fast-paced first-person shooter where you take on the role of the Slayer as Hell’s armies invade Earth. The invasion has spread across multiple dimensions, and humanity is close to being wiped out. Your job is simple: push through the demon hordes, uncover what is behind the invasion, and stop Hell from finishing the destruction of humanity.
Combat is built around staying aggressive and constantly moving. The Slayer has an expanded arsenal, along with a shoulder-mounted flamethrower, wrist blade, weapon modifications, and abilities that let you handle different enemies in different ways. Resources are tied directly to combat: Glory Kills restore health, burning enemies provides armor, and chainsawing demons gives you ammunition. This creates a constant cycle of fighting, moving, and managing resources instead of simply hiding behind cover.
Outside the campaign, BATTLEMODE offers a different kind of multiplayer experience, putting one fully equipped Slayer against two player-controlled demons in a best-of-five fight. DOOM Eternal combines intense gunplay, fast movement, brutal melee attacks, and resource management into a shooter that rewards players who keep pushing forward rather than slowing down.
