Servant of the Lake is a point-and-click adventure set inside the strange and unsettling Vanderboom family home. You take on the role of a new servant who has been hired to look after the estate just as visitors are about to arrive. What starts with ordinary household chores quickly becomes much stranger as you’re asked to solve puzzles, prepare the house, look after the family, and help with their unusual alchemical experiments.
The entire house is filled with things worth investigating, and even simple jobs can lead somewhere unexpected. You might start by straightening portraits or doing the laundry, only to end up dealing with bizarre experiments and cleaning up their aftermath. The story takes place decades before Rusty Lake: Roots, giving you another look at the Vanderboom family and their strange history. With hand-drawn visuals, surreal puzzles, and an eerie soundtrack, Servant of the Lake keeps the familiar Rusty Lake style while putting you in the middle of the household and its increasingly unsettling secrets.
